Camilla Monroe is a Fully IACP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist offering compassionate, person centred, solution focused support to adults and teens.
Camilla believes in helping you lead a more balanced life no matter what experiences you have had or what issues you are currently dealing with.
Sometimes stressful or traumatic events can hamper our ability to cope with life’s challenges and leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed and worn out. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, stress or processing trauma past or present, Camilla will support you in your journey to finding your feet again.
Camilla’s approach is rooted in kindness, compassion and neurobiology. She believes that when we transform our relationship with ourselves we transform our relationship to the world around us. Her aim is to support you in creating new choices rooted in the present instead of the past and gently help move you from a place of self criticism to self care.
As an integrative psychotherapist, Camilla will focus on finding approaches that work best for your individual needs. Camilla is aware of the importance of learning skills to understand and manage emotions in healthy ways as well as deepening the understanding of the bodies stress system and exploring the connection between mind and body.
Camilla trained in CIT in Integrative Psychotherapy (BaHons)and has a particular interest in attachment repair, emotional regulation and trauma recovery . Camilla has been in private practice in Cork City centre for 5 years and has also spent the last 3 years working in crisis intervention with Pieta House, Cork .
